Optimal Control Problems Involving Set Measures
نویسنده
چکیده
Various optimal control problems involving set measures are formulated. An example for such problems is that of optimal motion planning for a mobile observer or robot equipped with cameras to obtain maximum visual coverage of a given terrain. Optimality conditions in the form of variational inequality and maximum principle are presented. The results are applied to the optimal motion planning problem with a simple terrain. SHAPLEY FUNCTION BASED INTERVAL-VALUED INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY VIKOR TECHNIQUE FOR CORRELATIVE MULTI-CRITERIA DECISION MAKING PROBLEMS
Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set (IVIFS) has developed to cope with the uncertainty of imprecise human thinking. In the present communication, new entropy and similarity measures for IVIFSs based on exponential function are presented and compared with the existing measures. Numerical results reveal that the proposed information measures attain the higher association with the existing me...
متن کاملA New Optimal Solution Concept for Fuzzy Optimal Control Problems
In this paper, we propose the new concept of optimal solution for fuzzy variational problems based on the possibility and necessity measures. Inspired by the well–known embedding theorem, we can transform the fuzzy variational problem into a bi–objective variational problem. Then the optimal solutions of fuzzy variational problem can be obtained by solving its corresponding biobjective variatio...
متن کاملDetermining the Optimal Control of Singular Stochastic Processes using Linear Programming
This paper examines the numerical implementation of a linear programming (LP) formulation of stochastic control problems involving singular stochastic processes. The decision maker has the ability to influence a diffusion process through the selection of its drift rate (a control that acts absolutely continuously in time) and may also decide to instantaneously move the process to some other lev...
متن کاملA Comparison of Interior Point Methods and a Moreau-Yosida Based Active Set Strategy for Constrained Optimal Control Problems
In this note we focus on a comparison of two eecient methods to solve quadratic constrained optimal control problems governed by elliptic partial-diierential equations. One of them is based on a generalized Moreau-Yosida formulation of the constrained optimal control problem which results in an active set strategy involving primal and dual variables. The second approach is based on interior poi...
متن کاملMoment-sum-of-squares hierarchies for set approximation and optimal control
This thesis uses the idea of lifting (or embedding) a nonlinear controlled dynamical system into an infinite-dimensional space of measures where this system is equivalently described by a linear equation. This equation and problems involving it are subsequently approximated using well-known moment-sum-of-squares hierarchies. First, we address the problems of region of attraction, reachable set ...
